Forced Into A Container By Madman & Put In Trash, Sick Dog Held For 1st Time

Most would see that their dog is suffering and get him appropriate medical attention, but not Rocky’s owner. The callous man didn’t care that he simply needed to be treated with decency. Instead, he took Rocky, put him inside a container, and threw him in the trash. Thankfully someone found Rocky and reached out to Viktor Larkhill, a true animal hero.

The rescue team picked Rocky up and brought him to the vet clinic. The poor dog was shut down. He was in pain and scared. He was never treated kindly before and had no idea what to expect. He was brave, though, and allowed the doctors and technicians to examine him.

A beautiful moment came when Rocky was held closely for the first time. He finally stopped shaking and knew that he was safe… likely for the first time in his life. But he was still very depressed. Everyone tried to lift Rocky’s spirits but he was understandably withdrawn.

The vet wanted to address an eye abscess first. This was likely causing him a great deal of pain. More medical tests were needed as well. It seemed Rocky was making slow but steady progress but then, he could no longer urinate. Poor Rocky! The tests revealed that he had bladder stones and needed surgery.

Rocky’s surgery was a total game-changer. Addressing his health as a whole was the way to go– and soon, within a few weeks, he was able to go to a foster home. Rocky sees his new yard and it’s like seeing things for the first time. Maybe he was seeing things for the first time! No one knows for sure what his life was like before.

He begins to interact with humans more and his spirits begin to lift. He was a prisoner before, living with a cruel neglectful human who let him suffer. Now he’s free to be a dog! His new human friends want to give him a gift… a spa day just for him where he is pampered to the max!

Rocky finally knows what it’s like to matter. He’s no longer somebody’s trash; he is a treasure. Sure, transformation stories are always heartwarming but there is something magical that happens when you see Rocky go from his former self to this new happy puppy. The weight of his sadness is permanently in his past.

We will never understand why anyone would be cruel to an animal. If you see something, say something. Do not take matters into your own hands, please. For own your safety and the safety of the animals involved, reach out to your local authorities and report the incident. Local rescues and shelters may offer some advice as well.
