Father & Son Dump Sick Emaciated 6-Month Old Pup On Dead-End Road To Die

If a good Samaritan didn’t stumble upon a helpless abandoned 6-month-old puppy in Belvidere, Vermont, the animal would likely have perished alone. The sweet little pup was emaciated and left to die on the side of the dead-end road, writes ilovemydogsomuch

The animal was rushed for emergency care but unfortunately passed away as he was receiving treatment.

Animal Control Officer Dean Marcier and other kind citizens in the area were able to identify the owners of the pup. During the investigation, authorities discovered that 66-year-old James A. Holloway, Sr., and his son, 33-year-old James A. Holloway, Jr., allegedly drove the animal to Newton Valley Road, dumped him, and left him to die.

Authorities tracked the Holloways down and removed four other dogs who then required urgent veterinary treatment. As of this writing, WCAX reports they are doing well and will be available for adoption at a future date.

The Holloways were issued citations and will appear in court on the charge of cruelty to an animal.
