Since it would be a busy, hectic scene, the family felt it would be in their dog’s best interests to stay with a friend for a few months. They drove their sweet pup over 62 miles to the friend’s home.
About four months passed, and the family was stunned to learn the dog ran away from their friend’s home. The heartbroken family had no idea where to look, but their Golden Retriever knew exactly where she was going. The dog walked for 14 days across 62 miles and was spotted by a group of people not far from his family’s home.
The dog had injuries to her paws, bleeding toes, and appeared quite distraught that she hadn’t found her owners. Employees at the office where the dog was found showed her lying down on the road, very thin, and her head bowed down in sadness. The workers took the dog in and began the process of trying to reunite her with her rightful owners using a local messenger app in China called WeChat.
According to the Daily Mail, the family recognized their dog, Ping An, and rushed to retrieve her. Thankfully, the dog’s injuries are being cared for by a veterinarian and the family is once again together. What an epic tale Ping An could tell if only she could talk. We love happy endings and wish Ping An all the best. Press play on the video below to see more.
