Devoted Pastor Found Puppy Tied Up In Plastic Bag, Pledges To Save His Life

Pastor Van Wyk, from Cape Town South Africa, spent his life devoting himself to God. His strong convictions are what led him, he believes, to the train tracks one day. Sitting on the tracks was a plastic bag. When he saw the bag, the pastor had this terrible feeling so he got out of his vehicle. The pastor walked over to check what was inside.

What he found devastated him. There, defenseless and suffering, was a puppy tied up with shoelaces. His four legs were tied together as well as his snout. The pup couldn’t bark. He couldn’t pant. Who would do such a thing? When the pastor tried to touch the puppy, he winced and yelped. The little guy needed immediate medical attention.

The pastor reached out to Animal Welfare Helderberg. The rescue group could help the pup get all the medical attention he needed. They fittingly named him Trax. The volunteers worked around the clock to care for Trax. As he started to improve, they could see his winning personality shine through. He was timid but certainly a loving dog that just needed the right family.

After a few more weeks of treatment, Trax was ready to be put up for adoption. The sweet dog found a home very fast! The rescue group was thrilled. His past was far behind him and his future looked as bright as the sun! The rescue group has kept in touch with Trax and his new family. They send updates and photos often, showing them his happy life. Trax may have suffered but he doesn’t let that show. He’s adjusting to a world where he only knows LOVE — and his former, cruel life is like a bad dream.
