Dog Is Scheduled For Euthanasia In Less Than A Day, Makes A Last Minute Plea
One day as Anne Flores was visiting a local animal shelter, she witnessed something horrific, writes ilovemydogsomuch
Anne saw two women literally dragging two dogs on the road, with the intention of leaving them to die at the Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. The dogs were being so badly mistreated that Anne decided to take pictures of the harassment.
The dogs tried resisting as much as they could, but the women pulled and dragged the dogs to no end. The poor dogs pleaded with their moms not to give them up to die, but the women were having none of it.
The pictures of the women dragging the dogs began to go viral in the local area. But the dogs were scheduled to be euthanized soon anyway due to the shelter being full. One of the dogs, Mandi, was scheduled to be put down in a few days. Truman, the black and white dog, was scheduled to be put down the very next day.
As a last-ditch effort, the shelter made a video showing Truman pleading to people to save his sister. This video moved the people at Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue so much, that they decided to take both the dogs in.
When they first approached Truman to save him, he was shivering and fell flat on the floor and peed. Clearly, he was shaken and scared. But the comfort and safety he was given quickly reassured him that everything was going to be ok. He just needed a little love.
Both the dogs are in foster care now and will hopefully be adopted soon. Click the video below to see Truman’s emotional plea.
