Woman Hears Cries Coming From Woods And Discovers A Tiny Wounded Puppy Tied To Tree
Jessica Clayborn, of Zebulon, N.C., was hanging her laundry outside when she heard cries coming from the nearby woods, writes ilovemydogsomuch
Baffled and concerned, Clayborn followed the sound of the cries, which eventually led her to an awful sight: a tiny, wounded puppy who was tied to a tree.
The pup was standing on a small patch of dry land that was surrounded by deep mud. As he tried to break free, the rope tied around his neck cut deeper into his skin.
It’s unknown how long this poor puppy was tied there, but it was obvious that some cruel person had left him there to die.
Clayborn immediately cut the rope off of him and rushed him to the Care First Animal Hospital, where they treated him for chemical burns and maggots.
While the pup is still healing, he is thankfully expected to make a full recovery.
With the help of the SPCA of Wake County, the puppy, now named Nash, has been placed in a loving foster home, where he can relax and heal. His foster family, the Aubuts, plan on permanently adopting Nash into their family!
Despite everything Nash has been through, he still has an extraordinary amount of trust for humans and is an amazingly sweet little pup!
