Little ‘Werewolf’ Found On Verge Of Death Just Needed Someone To Show Him Love
Chris Poole, known as “Cat Man Chris” for his YouTube videos of rescuing cats, came across what looked like a tiny werewolf outside of an apartment complex in Florida, writes ilovemydogsomuch
But this tiny werewolf was actually a Lykoi cat, often known as the “werewolf cat” due to its looks, which is a natural mutation from a domestic short-haired cat that has the appearance of a classic Hollywood werewolf, hence the name.
But this particular Lykoi cat was in deep trouble with his health and needed help as soon as possible. He had a plethora of issues and wouldn’t have survived much longer if it weren’t for Poole’s generosity.
With help from St. Francis Society Animal Rescue, Poole was able to trap this poor kitty to get him the help he needed.
The cat’s claws were extremely ingrown and infected, so the first thing they did was trim them and soak them in iodine to help clear the infection.
Since his nails were so long, it caused his paws pain which made him hunch down to stay warm. Since he was always hunched over, he developed sores on the back of his legs which were so bad they bled.
In addition to that, his ears were also infected and have since been cleaned out and medicated. His eyes were also very crusty and watery due to conjunctivitis, which he was given eye drops for.
The poor cat was also very congested and received antibiotics to help with that, along with medicine to rid of all of his fleas.
Thankfully, he tested negative for feline leukemia and heart worms and was well on his way to recovery.
It’s unknown exactly how he ended up on the streets, but Poole suspects he was dumped there or escaped. Regardless, this poor cat had been neglected for a long time and is finally getting a second chance at life.
The vet estimated that he is between eight and ten years old.
The cat, now named Logan, is now living with a loving foster family who will make sure he gets showered with love and care for the rest of his life!
