Lady Scooped Up Frozen Solid Kitten, Prayed Hard & Held Her Up To Car Vent

A woman found a litter of newborn kittens in the midst of winter in the shrubs near a parking lot. She took them inside her car and put the heat up high. She did her best to warm them up using the car vents. They were still alive but she wasn’t sure if they’d make it, writes ilovemydogsomuch.tv
The woman, walking her dog, miraculously heard their little cries. She called up the local authorities who reached out to a rescue group. Thankfully, the rescuers drove straight there and took them to a nearby vet clinic. The vet was astounded. He said the kittens were just one day old.
Even by the next day, after being in the warmer, the babies were still so cold. Nikki, a woman with a big heart, decided to foster the babies and brought them home. She knew there was a good chance that these three little babies wouldn’t survive but she wanted to give them a fighting chance.
Nikki remained optimistic but then one kitten, she named Bagel, stopped eating. Her breathing was labored and she prepared herself for what she thought was the inevitable. Bagel’s weight was dropping fast and they had no other choice but to tube feed her.
The brave foster mom alternated between tube feeding and the bottle hoping it would work. Finally, Bagel took to the bottle and of course, it was the biggest deal ever! Nikki texted her husband at work and they both decided they would celebrate every milestone the kittens reached. When their eyes opened, when they learned to groom themselves… the little things that kittens automatically do was the biggest deal for these miracle kittens.
Soon, the kittens’ personalities began to show. One of the kittens Nikki named Spud turned out to be quite the feisty boy. The third kitten, Pancake, was a total lap kitten. Nikki was elated because these kittens were starting to act like normal cats! They were finally out of the woods!
Bagel bonded closely with her foster family. Even putting a baby gate up didn’t stop this little girl from getting to her mom. To see her tiny body work so hard to climb up and over the gate to get to her mom was just awesome. She obviously had the determination and that determination stemmed from pure love.
Now that the kittens were healthy, and getting older, it was time to look for their forever homes. Nikki cried tears of joy and tears of sadness. She was so happy that they were healthy and on their way to a “purrfect” life but of course, she would miss them.
Nikki decided to host an adoption event so she could speak out about the importance of fostering. She stated the most amazing thing as she handed one of the kittens over to her new mom, she said: “My heart may break just a little bit so that theirs will never have to break again.”
