Sugar the 4-year-old Boxer was attending an obedience class at Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center in Tacoma, when he began seizuring rapidly. Owner Tiffany Kauth immediately went into panic mode as she had no idea what was happening to her seemingly healthy pooch. But Sugar’s condition only worsened, and he totally stopped breathing and collapsed to the ground, writes ilovemydogsomuch.tv

Tiffany wailed hysterically as she felt Sugar’s limp body going cold. While the training staff was equally worried about Sugar, lead trainer Ron Pace kept his cool and stepped forward to inspect the dog. He pulled the terror-stricken owner aside and began performing CPR on the lifeless dog.

Over the next few minutes, Ron gave repeated chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth to Sugar. It was a moment of pure miracle as Sugar sprung back to life thanks to the well-executed CPR! The little boy was a bit disoriented, but he frantically hugged his nervous mama!

While Ron was humbled with all the praise he received online, he revealed that this was the first time he had performed CPR on an animal in his 40-year-long career. For the most part, he was simply trying to follow the general CPR guidelines for humans.

Sadly, Sugar passed away just 10 days after his miraculous revival. His heart stopped again, but even CPR failed to save him this time. Tiffany later learned that Sugar suffered from a heart condition called cardiomyopathy that causes sudden inevitable deaths.

While Tiffany is devastated, she is grateful to Ron for adding 10 more happy days to Sugar’s life. He lived his last days in bliss and Tiffany pampered him like a king. The grieving owner hopes her beloved boy’s CPR video helps save other furry lives in the future. Rest in peace, Sugar.
