Owners Thrash Puppy & Dump Him In The Bushes, Maggots Found Eating Him Alive

Rumble the puppy was just 5 weeks old when he was rotting away in the bushes of a mobile home park in Clarkson, Michigan, writes ilovemydogsomuch

His owners had discarded him after beating him to a pulp, and he wasn’t breathing well by the time some residents found him. They rushed the dying maggots-covered puppy to the Wilson Veterinary Hospital, but there wasn’t much hope for his survival.

The vets confirmed that Rumble had suffered blunt force trauma that fractured his skull and crushed his face. The poor puppy had suffered severe brain damage that had impaired the vision in his left eye. Seeing Rumble’s critical state, the vets transferred him to Animal Surgical Center in Michigan.

A new team of vets assessed Rumble’s situation and put him under 24/7 intensive care. They inserted several tubes in him to regulate his body functions and keep him alive. Meanwhile, the Canine Companions Rescue Center took him under its wing and shared his disturbing story on social media.

After several uncertain weeks, Rumble is finally showing signs of recovery! He has started to handle toys and interact with people, which is a good prognosis considering his acute brain damage. He has a long way of rehabilitation ahead of him, but his caretakers hope that this little fighter will make a full recovery.

The cops investigating Rumble’s abuse have tracked down Heather Bradley and Jeremy Atkins as his previous owners. The pair is facing misdemeanor animal abuse charges and is currently under investigation. We hope Rumble gets his justice soon and his abusers receive the strictest sentence. Spread the word.
