A UPS driver named Jason Harcrow was finishing up his usual route in Hughson, California, when he noticed a suspicious farm truck stopping abruptly by the intersection. He was shocked to the core to see a tiny Cairn Terrier puppy being tossed out of the truck, which then sped away soon after. As the confused puppy darted off into the busy traffic, a worried Jason immediately pulled over to rescue the dumped baby writes ilovemydogsomuch

The shivering puppy was terrified to find himself alone amidst multiple oncoming cars. He rejected Jason’s attempts to retrieve him and crawled under the UPS driver’s brown truck to hide away. But Jason meticulously slithered underneath his vehicle and safely retrieved the traumatized puppy. He then drove to the Hughson Police Station to hand over the little one to the cops.

The puppy was shifted to the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter, where he was named Biscuit. The 3-month-old was apparently grazed by a car during the ordeal, but was otherwise doing okay – all thanks to Jason’s earnest endeavor to save him! Unfortunately, Jason was unable to catch the number plate of the truck that abandoned Biscuit, and this made it near impossible for the cops to locate the person responsible for the crime.

Jason’s heroic rescue of Biscuit was hailed by the entire community, which in turned attracted a lot of attention toward the puppy. Over the next few days, the shelter received several adoption applications for the cutie. They eventually managed to choose the perfect home for him! Little Biscuit (now named Ernie) is living like a king in his dream forever home, all thanks to a mailman with a heart of gold!
