Weak Runt Of The Litter Stops Breathing, Desperate Mom Gives Him CPR & Prays

A Pit Bull was very pregnant when she was dumped at the shelter, writes ilovemydogsomuch

This stressed her to a great extent and affected the health of her newborn puppies. However, it was the runt of the litter who had it worst as he had almost no chance of survival.

A shelter worker who was watching over the newborn pups was extremely worried when she noticed that the runt puppy had stopped breathing altogether. She immediately performed CPR on the puppy and miraculously he survived!

After this life-threatening shock, the woman decided to take the runt puppy home and help him survive with around the clock care. She informed the shelter authorities about her decision and named the puppy Guinness.

The woman started bottle-feeding formula to Guinness multiple times a day. Soon, the puppy found some strength to keep fighting. However, the woman noticed that the poor ting was unable to use his back legs.

Many runts who survive are often prone to disabilities. The woman started helping Guinness with regular physical therapy. Her efforts paid off as soon Guinness was able to walk like a normal puppy!

Within a few weeks of caring for Guinness, the woman was sure that she wanted to raise him and keep him forever, so she adopted him. As Guinness started growing up into a feisty and spirited dog, he developed an inseparable bond with his mom and enriched her life with his unconditional love!

Guinness is almost 2 years old now, and he has transformed into one giant cuddly Pit Bull! It’s hard to tell that he was once the runt of the litter. We thank this kind woman for rescuing and raising this special dog. This is why every runt deserves a fair chance to live!
